I was a little leery about healthy wings on Superbowl Sunday but these turned out delicious and I didn’t even miss that they weren’t fried!
3 lbs chicken wings ( got ones that were already cut at joints and ready to go)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 flour
1 T vegetable oil
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. foil line a cookie sheet and spray with Pam spray.
Mix flour with salt and pepper. Toss wings into mixture and set on cookie sheet.
Use a baster brush to lightly brush each wing with vegetable oil.
Bake for 60-70 minutes then broil until nice and crispy. (make sauce while baking)
Toss in sauce.
Wing Sauce:
1/2 c. your favorite BBQ sauce
1/4 c. Frank’s Red Hot Sauce or other Buffalo wing sauce ( a little more for additional heat)
1/4 c. ketchup
2 tsp. butter
Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan and warm over medium heat for about 10 minutes then turn off heat.
